In August Sifu Shaun Rawcliffe took 26 students to visit Ip Chun Sifu. A special dinner party was organised at the Disciplined Services Sports and Recreation club in Causway Bay attended by Sifu, SiMo and the senior Wing Chun members.

In August Sifu Shaun Rawcliffe took 26 students to visit Ip Chun Sifu. A special dinner party was organised at the Disciplined Services Sports and Recreation club in Causway Bay attended by Sifu, SiMo and the senior Wing Chun members.
Towards the end of August Sifu Ludovic Delaloye took several students to visit Ip Chun Sifu to celebrate his birthday. |
In September several overseas Sifu's including Colin Ward, Ken Lau, Dean Jones, Kwok Cheung and John Brogden brought some of their students to Hong Kong to continue the celebrations. Another special dinner party which again was attended by Sifu, Simo and many senior Wing Chun members.

On 23rd October 1999 Master Ip Chun was awarded a trophy as part of the COMBAT Hall of Fame Awards "in recognition of his commitement and devotion to the development of martial arts in the United Kingdom and around the world", the trophy was presented to him by one of his senior students, Sifu Shaun Rawcliffe, on stage at the 1st Ving Tsun conference in Hong Kong in November 1999.In October 2003 Master Ip Chun entered into the COMBAT Hall of Fame, the trophy was presented to him by one of his students, Sifu Kwok Cheung at his 80th birthday celebrations. |
